What We Believe

CCF is based upon the following truths:

  • God created us for a joyous and fulfilling relationship with Him. When the first man, Adam, sinned, humankind could no longer be in the presence of a perfect, holy God because the punishment for sin is death (Romans 6:23).
  • We are sinners who have been saved by the grace from God, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and not by any of our works or "good deeds" on Earth (Ephesians 2:8-9).
  • God, in His abundant mercy, subjected His perfect Son to take the burden of our sin and take our punishment by dying on the cross. Jesus was resurrected on the third day, freeing us and gifting us with His righteousness. Those who accept this gift will have the power of God within them and will spend eternity with Him forever (John 3:16).
  • Until then, we live in this world in anticipation of future glory. We believe CCF is called to encourage and inspire believers in the Caltech community (Hebrews 10:24-25).

All those who have leadership roles in the CCF must agree to the above basis of faith without reservation, confessing Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
